Here are the patch notes for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 – Absolute Doom.
Fortnite players have been complaining that Chapter 5 is one of the worst chapters we’ve had so far with many stating that season 3 is the worst season so far.
Thankfully, Epic Games has been teasing the new season of Fortnite, another dedicated Marvel season, for a few days now.
The official season trailer was released four days ago which showcased all the new skins that’ll be available in the Chapter 5 Season 4 Battle Pass along with the map changes we can expect.
We also have information on the Fortnite server downtime on August 16th, 2024, and we’ve included all the information you need to know ahead of the new season of Fortnite.
Fortnite Servers Down Today – 16th August 2024
Any time Epic Games releases a new major Fortnite update, they take the servers offline for a few hours in order to prepare them for the latest content.
Today’s 31.00 (4.33) Fortnite update is no different, and Epic announced when the Fortnite servers would go down for scheduled maintenance a few days ago.
The Fortnite servers went down at 11 PM ET on August 15th, 2024 with season 4 ending shortly beforehand. As expected, the patch size for a new season will be larger than usual.

When Will the Fortnite Servers Be Back Online?
Epic never releases any information in regards to when the Fortnite servers will be down. However, popular leaker Hypex stated that downtime for Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is expected to be five hours long.
That means the servers should be back online at 4 AM ET on August 16th, 2024. We’ll update this section of the article when the servers are back online.

As you’d come to expect with a new season of Fortnite, Chapter 5 Season 4 – Absolute Doom includes a brand new Battle Pass, this time with Marvel-themed skins.
